DESIGN WORKSHOP
Snippets of a delightful workshop with the Lodha Team.
It was an absolute pleasure to conduct a two-day design workshop with the marketing and sales team of Lodha Group. An effective team of professionals who were receptive, inquisitive, and engaged – the ultimate trio for the presenter.
The objective of this workshop was to sensitize the team on various aspects of effective communication and to define the paradigm of an aesthetically appealing design.
WORKSHOP STRUCTURE:
- The Basic Principles of Formulating the Brief – the foundation of the creative journey
- Audience Personas – understanding the target group at a deeper level to find resonance and tonality
- Customer Journey – the key factors to consider at every juncture from awareness to share
- Fundamentals of Design – typography, colour, and elements of the layout design
The workshop pedagogy was divided into lectures and hands-on exercises along with before/after examples of the ongoing Lodha project creatives.
Day 1 started with a highly intensive lecture by Ruchi Tewari focusing on the elements of effective communication – from Ethos, Pathos, and Logos to the communication spiral. This was followed by factors to consider while formulating the brief – audience personas and customer journey.
Day 2 was an action-packed journey from the evaluation of group projects submitted by the teams as part of the hands-on exercise as well as case studies of Lodha projects from a design standpoint.
I personally enjoyed the interactive feedback session of the presentation made by different groups as part of a hands-on exercise.
